Job summary

Baystate Health's Nurse Resident program at Springfield 6400 invites new grads and experienced RNs to join our Magnet-recognized system in Springfield, MA. This full-time night shift role supports growth within our 32-bed unit and includes a structured orientation to help you thrive.

You will work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with rotating holidays and shift differentials. Baystate offers development support and tuition reimbursement to enhance your practice.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Massachusetts (Board of Registration in Nursing).
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• AND required; BSN preferred; Associates Degree in Nursing required.

• Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed unit with a focus on safety and quality.
• Participate in orientation and professional growth within the nursing model.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate care.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Unit Springfield 6400 serves a wide variety of patients aged 22 to 100+ with common diagnoses that may include: acute or chronic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, infections processes, behavioral health, neurological & circulatory impairment, kidney disease, and diabetes.

The unit has 32 beds, 16 semi-private rooms, and they have completed several nurse driven change projects including activity/mobility tool, acuity based assignments, capacity management workflow, and foley utilization. The Manager is dedicated to professional growth and the nursing model of care, and the unit has a close partnership with Physician Medical Director. We provide supportive, individualized, and tailored orientation.

Full-time, night shift (7p-730a)
12-hour shifts
Every other weekend, rotating holidays

QUALIFICATIONS

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
