Job summary

Baystate Health in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical RN to join the S1400 unit on the Baystate Medical Center campus.

You will provide care to medical patients with diverse conditions, demonstrate strong assessment and prioritization, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on day shifts.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice nursing in Massachusetts (Board of Registration in Nursing).
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification.
• Diploma in Nursing required; certification in specialty areas preferred.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

S1400 is a 24-bed acute care nursing unit that provides care to medical patients that may or may not require telemetry monitoring. This unit cares for a wide variety of medical issues, including Alzheimer’s/dementia, psych, sepsis or other advanced infections, fall/syncope, palliative/ hospice, stroke, COVID-19, cardiac diagnosis: atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, etc. Our unit population consists of patients ages 20 to geriatrics. In addition to inpatient status, the staff also monitors and cares for patients who have been placed in an observation or outpatient extended stay status.

SCHEDULE:

Full-Time, Days (7a-730p) Every other weekend and every other holiday Baystate Medical Center - Springfield, MA

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Education: Diploma in Nursing (Required)
• Certifications: Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Registered Nurse - State of Massachusetts

The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.

The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum $41.82 - $54.06 - $66.30
