Job summary

St. Francis-Emory Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care on the assigned unit. The role emphasizes planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care in line with our care philosophy and primary nursing principles.

The position requires an RN license in Georgia, BLS (ACLS within 6 months), and at least 6 months of direct patient care experience, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's in Nursing.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Associates degree in Nursing required.
• Required skills: critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Required and ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Licenses: Valid RN license in Georgia (single-state or compact).
• Minimum work experience: Six (6) months of RN direct patient care experience unless in Nurse Residency.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing patient care for the assigned unit or department.
• Plan, provide, and evaluate total nursing care per established patient care philosophy.
• Facilitate individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles.
• Collaborate with other shifts for continuity of care and relate with other departments and units.
• Participate in all phases of education.

Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Nursing Unit Director, perform nursing patient care duties for the assigned unit or department. Plan, provide, and evaluate total nursing care in accordance with the established patient care philosophy. Facilitate individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Relate effectively with other shifts for continuity of care, maintain satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units; and participate in all phases of education.

Qualifications

Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Licenses: Valid licensure in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse (RN) or multi state/compact RN license

Minimum Work Experience:

Six (6) months of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a direct patient care setting unless entering into the Nurse Residency Program
