Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Family Center on a per diem, day shift basis. You will provide professional nursing care within the LDRP suites, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, and support hypnobirth and hydrotherapy facilities in a 15-suite Family Center.

Requirements include 1 year of L&D experience, NH RN license or compact state, BCLS within 30 days, plus PALS and NRP within 90 days and fetal monitoring

Qualifications

• 1 year L&D experience required.
• RN license - NH or compact state required.
• BCLS needed within 30 days of hire.
• PALS and NRP within 90 days of hire.
• Fetal Monitoring Certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the Family Center.
• Coordinate care planning with multidisciplinary team.
• Support deliveries in the Family Center (LDRP suites).
• Participate in orientation and ongoing nursing education.

Deliveries average 600 annually. Many Family Center staff scrub and circulate for Cesarean Sections. Orientation to the Family Center is individualized according to your background and level of experience. After completing corporate and nursing orientations, you will be paired with a preceptor from the Family Center. The duration of orientation will be frequently evaluated with your preceptor and nurse manager.In addition to the training provided by the staff preceptor, other educational opportunities exist in the form of in-services provided by the unit-based educator, the lactation consultant, and outreach services from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital. Several of the Family Center staff are certified as instructors in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
