Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Nursing Professional Development Generalist for the Burn Trauma Intermediate - Medical/Surgical Unit. The role leads staff education across orientation, practice transitions, and continuing education to move nurses from novice to competent practitioners.

In this position you will support performance improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice projects, and system-wide education programs for the Burn Trauma team and related units,

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred
• Active RN license in VA
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• 2 years nursing experience; leadership exp preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement staff education within designated populations
• Support orientation, practice transitions and continuing education
• Provide foundational education competency/skills validation for nurses
• Contribute to quality, safety and patient-outcome improvement projects
