Job summary

The UCLA Department of Urology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our clinical team. The NP will review medical histories, evaluate patients in clinic and via telemedicine, perform comprehensive physical examinations, review labs and imaging, and formulate treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate level NP degree required (MSN or DNP).
• CA RN and NP certification with required furnishing and licenses.

• Active NPI, DEA, PECOS, and CURES credentials.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and clinical software.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The UCLA Department of Urology is looking to fill the role of a Nurse Practitioner (NP).

The NP is expected to provide exemplary patient care consistent with the UCLA Health CICARE Service Excellence. This individual will review medical histories, evaluate patients in clinic and via telemedicine, perform comprehensive physical examination, review laboratory and imaging results, formulate treatment plans, manage prescriptions, and provide patient education.

The NP will manage clinical questions by telephone and Epic inbasket, perform procedures as needed, manage clinical issues that arise following procedures and surgeries, address prescription-related issues such as prior authorization, and carry out related tasks for the UCLA Department of Urology under the supervision of the attending urologists.

Salary range: $93.81- $133.97/hourly

Job Qualifications

• MSN or DNP with Adult/Gero Acute Care NP specialty- required
• CA RN and NP certification, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II- required
• National NP Board certification in Adult-Gero Acute Care/Adult Acute Care NP/FNP/Adult Primary Care specialty - required
• NPI#, DEA#, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment on CURES- required
• Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs-required
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-required
• Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-required
• Ability to set priorities-required
• Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-required
• Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
• Min of 3 years as NP in Urology setting-strongly preferred
