Job summary

Oakridge Medical Center seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner based in Plano, TX to provide direct patient care across urgent care, primary care, and preventive services. Qualifications

• Texas NP license and national board certification (FNP/AGNP or equivalent).
• Graduate degree from an NP program (MSN or DNP).
• Clinical experience in primary, urgent, or family practice settings.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, diagnostics, and evidence-based care plans.
• Ability to perform common office-based procedures and prescribe medications.
• Strong communication and counseling skills with a focus on preventive care.
• Comfort using electronic medical records and coordinating care with a team.
• Commitment to equitable, inclusive patient care and cultural responsiveness.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or willingness to obtain in timeframe.
• Willingness to work occasional extended hours or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnose acute/chronic conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans.
• Perform routine procedures within scope of practice and prescribe medications.
• Educate patients and provide counseling on preventive care and wellness.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other professionals.
