Qualifications

• Active APRN license in state of practice.
• National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC or FNP-C).
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Obtain full and accurate patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and screening tests.
• Formulate diagnoses and appropriate plans of care.
• Complete and sign all documentation accurately and on time.
• Consult with physicians when necessary to assist with diagnosis and/or management.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to prepare comprehensive plans of care.
• Prescribe medications and other treatments, such as physical therapy or inhalation therapy.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Document pertinent information, including histories, examinations, assessments, and plans.
• Use the EMR regularly for clinical management and communication.
• Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
• Work within licensure scope.
• Perform other duties as needed.
