Job summary

Harris Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner to collaborate with physicians in delivering comprehensive patient care across its network of clinics and hospitals in Harris County, TX. The role includes performing medical acts within the Nurse Practice Act and Medical Practice Act, with focus on quality, accessibility, and patient-centered care.

Eligible candidates hold a Texas NP license, a Master’s in Nursing, and a completed NP program (Family, Geriatric or Pediatric).

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing and NP licensure are required.

Responsibilities

Working in collaboration with the attending physician, the nurse practitioner performs medical acts in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, # 301.152, Texas Occupations Code and Medical Practice Act, # 157.051- 157.060.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Current, valid license to practice nursing in the State of Texas. Completion of an accrediting Nurse Practitioner program (Family, Geriatric or Pediatric). Has Limited Prescriptive Authority.
• Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.

Other Certificates As Required By Unit/service.

• Two years related Experience
