Job summary
Advanced Spine and Pain Specialists in Greater Houston is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our interventional pain team. You will perform comprehensive assessments, obtain histories, and evaluate spine- and pain-related conditions in a specialized clinical setting.
You will order and interpret tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications as appropriate, educate patients on pain management, and collaborate with interventional physicians to monitor outcomes and support
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in Texas with national board certification (FNP/AGNP)
- Clinical experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, rehabilitation, or related field
- Knowledge of pharmacology, pain management protocols, and safe opioid prescribing practices
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and histories
- Perform physical examinations for spine- and pain-related conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide treatment plans
- Develop and adjust treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate
- Educate patients on pain management strategies and preventive care
- Collaborate with interventional pain physicians and other clinicians
- Document care in medical records and support follow-up visits
