Job summary

Midwest Express Clinic in Illinois seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner to lead clinical care across Calumet Park, Evergreen Park, Mt Greenwood, and Blue Island. You will partner with Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, and physicians to deliver efficient, high-quality care that aligns with MEC's standards for service, safety, and excellence.

The role requires a Master's or Doctorate in NP, valid IL/IN FNP license, and the ability to treat patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana.
• Ability to treat patients across the lifespan.
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing results.
• Perform procedures including laceration repair, incisions and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, nail procedures, injections, and DOT physicals.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.

The Role

The Family Nurse Practitioner serves as a key clinical leader within the clinic, providing evidence-based care services while fostering an exceptional patient experience. This role partners closely with Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, leadership, and physicians to deliver efficient, high-quality care that aligns with MEC's standards for service, safety, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

ClinicalExcellence

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Develop and implementappropriate treatmentplansutilizingevidence-based medicine
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing including laboratory and radiology results
• Perform procedures including:

WhatWe’reLooking For

Required:

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana
• Ability to treat patients across the lifespan
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Occupational Medicine experience
• Experience performing common urgent care procedures
• DOT Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Scheduling Requirements:

• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Flexibility to support multiple clinic locations

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is$125,000-130,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
