Job summary

Penobscot Community Health Care is now accepting applications for our one-year (PGY1), full-time Nurse Practitioner Residency Program in Bangor, Maine. The program is fully accredited by the Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers, offering structured mentorship, a cohort model, interdisciplinary training, and diverse clinical rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program within the last 18 months.
• Eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Maine.
• Current or eligible for DEA license.
• Commitment to a career in primary care at an FQHC.
• Basic Life Support certification within two weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medical care to a wide variety of patients with accurate records and follow-up scheduling.
• Collaborate with the health care team to provide high-quality primary care.
• Work approximately 40 hours per week with 32 hours of patient contact; no nights or weekends.
• Engage in internal rotations (e.g., geriatrics, women's health, recovery services) and interdisciplinary learning.
