Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (L3) for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Bureau of Public Health Clinics. The role supports STI services across eight clinics in NYC, reporting to Medical Directors and Physician In Charge.

Responsibilities include taking histories, exams, ordering tests, diagnosing STIs, and providing treatments such as PrEP/PEP and contraception. Telemedicine rotation and collaboration with PrEP navigators are included.

Qualifications

• NY State License and current Registered Nurse registration.
• Completion of an NP program approved by NYSED, or recognized NP certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical and sexual history.
• Conduct physical exams.
• Order relevant testing (stat and microbiology).
• Make presumptive STI diagnoses and provide treatment for STIs and HIV.
• Provide PrEP/PEP and contraception including LARC where applicable.
• Offer vaccination for Hep A/B, Meningitis, and HPV.
• Arrange referrals to other clinics and services.
