JOB SUMMARY

Provides primary care to patients following established standards and practices in collaboration with providers.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Graduate from accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program

Certification & Licensures:

• Current license as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse licensed by the State of Missouri
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification (required in specialty areas)

Experience:

• Three years experience as a family nurse practitioner preferred. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and examination, diagnostics and treatment room procedures
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public
• Ability to maintain quality control standards and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations
• Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions
• Current BLS certification and required licenses
• Ability to learn and efficiency utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs
