Job summary

A healthcare services provider is seeking Nurse Practitioners to support military personnel in Hawaii. This independent contractor role will focus on physical health assessments and reviewing medical records, ensuring the medical readiness of service members. Candidates must possess an active nurse practitioner license and CPR/BLS certification. Experience in primary care or mobile services is preferred. Candidates can work flexible schedules, primarily on weekends, contributing to critical health services for military members.

Qualifications

• Supervising Physician may be required depending on the state requirement.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Hawaii is necessary.
• Certification in CPR and BLS are mandatory.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Occupational Health is preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Military systems, protocols, and terminology is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with a large volume of service members seen daily.
• Willing to work extended hours and in various locations, including remote military installations.
• Must have weekend availability.

Job description

Attention all Nurse Practitioners, we are calling you to partner with us as independent contractors providing services to our Military Service members.

We primarily work weekends, with occasional weekdays under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) in the State of Hawaii on an "as needed basis". You choose how frequently you work our events.

Requirements

We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:

• U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
• Army National Guard (ARNG)
• U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
• U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
• U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
• Air National Guard (ANG)
• U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using the proprietary system.
