Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for its Primary Care - Family Medicine team. You will take medical histories, perform exams, and order tests for ambulatory patients, collaborating with physicians to create treatment plans.

Expect active patient interaction, documentation, and ongoing professional development. The role requires MS in Nursing with NP and RN NYS certifications, and entails prescribing medications and developing care with a team in a fast-paced outpatient

Qualifications

• Must hold NP and RN licenses in NYS.
• Strong interpersonal and empathetic skills.
• Experience in ambulatory/primary care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take complex medical histories and perform physical exams for referred patients.
• Develop treatment plans with attending physician and order tests/imaging.
• Interact with families and care teams to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Prescribe medications, write orders, and respond to emergencies.
• Document complete, accurate patient data to support care plans.
