Palm Health Resources is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a permanent role in Newport News, VA. The position focuses on treating Family Medicine patients in a primary care setting with a patient volume appropriate for the practice.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of NP experience, be eligible for a DEA, and have or be pursuing a Virginia license. Shifts are 8 hours with no weekends or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care or Family Medicine.
• Permanent full-time position with no weekends or call.
• Active Virginia license preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be eligible for a DEA.
• Autonomy at times with collaboration from 3 attending physicians and 9 practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Treat Family Medicine patients in a primary care setting.
• Provide patient-centered primary care and care coordination.
• Collaborate with a physician group and support staff to manage patient load.

• Position type is Permanent full time with no weekends or call
• Patient population youth to geriatrics
• Active Virginia License preferred but not mandatory
• Must be eligible for a DEA
• The group is looking for a candidate with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• Shifts are 8 hours with no call but also has the option of extended hours
• Must be able to work with autonomy at times but there will be a 3 attending Physician on staff as well as 9 practitioners
• Patient volume is 16-24 per day
