Medi-Weightloss - Knoxville is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. This role focuses on comprehensive weight loss care, preventive medicine counseling, and collaborative patient management.

You will review medical histories, perform exams, order labs, provide nutrition and program education, and coordinate with the supervising physician. Flexible hours promote work-life balance while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed NP in Tennessee (Required).
• DEA Certification for prescriptive authority.
• Strong patient communication and clinical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review patient's medical history relevant to care.
• Conduct physical examinations per guidelines.
• Order and review labs and ECGs when appropriate.
• Provide counseling on prevention, nutrition and program education.
• Adhere to prescription guidelines per supervising physician.
• Document care in EMR and coordinate with referring physicians.
• Monitor progress and arrange referrals as needed.
• Conduct follow-up calls to discuss progress and concerns.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Obtain and review patient's medical and psychosocial history information relevant to patient care.
• Conduct physical examinations according to company guidelines.
• Order and review laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures, including ECGs, when appropriate.
• Deliver Preventive Medicine Counseling, Program & Nutrition Counseling, and Product and Supplement Education.
• Adhere to prescription guidelines as per the collaborative agreement with the supervising physician.
• Maintain required documentation for patient care and medication management in the EMR according to company standards.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, including sharing of medical records.
• Review patient progress and manage patient care accordingly.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary.
• Conduct follow-up calls to patients to discuss progress and address concerns.

General Responsibilities

• Weekly review of Weight Tracker Report, Slipping Report, and assigned KPIs to provide clinical oversight and mentor clinical staff.
• Serve as the company liaison for medical and clinical affairs at the location.
• Participate in ongoing training initiatives and serve as the in-house trainer for medical staff.
• Support Leadership with collaboration and business development efforts with community physician groups.
• Seek opportunities to improve franchise clinical operations' efficiency, effectiveness, and capacity.
• Develop strategic recommendations to support patient experience improvement initiatives.
• Program Development – Participate in the launch of test pilots for new programs, services, and products.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills and effectively develop and monitor project work plans.
