Capital Health seeks a dedicated Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner for a full-time, hybrid postpartum role. You will split time between inpatient postpartum rounding and outpatient reproductive health services, addressing medical issues, supporting lactation, and coordinating comprehensive follow-up care.

The ideal candidate has an MSN or DNP, WHNP/FNP certification, and an active NJ APN license with at least two years in L&D or postpartum settings.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
• Board certification as WHNP or FNP.
• Active, unrestricted NJ APN license (or eligible).
• Minimum of two years in Labor & Delivery or Postpartum care.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Postpartum Care: daily rounding and clinical reviews for vaginal and cesarean patients.
• Acute management: monitor recovery, interpret labs, initiate orders, plan treatment.
• Emergency response to postpartum complications (hemorrhage, infection).
• Provide lactation support and mental health screening, including postpartum depression assessments.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.
