The Menninger Clinic seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing management for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients within its clinical coverage across adult programs. Working hours are M-F, 8-5, with on-call duties as assigned.

Qualificações

• Completion of an approved training program with certification in the treatment of geriatric, adult and adolescent patients.
• Current license to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Texas.
• Controlled substance registration with the DEA.

Responsabilidades

• Issue psychiatric examinations and assessments for new and existing patients.
• Develop dynamic treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Administer and monitor pharmacotherapy for psychiatric and medical conditions.
• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations as requested.
• Collaborate with Administrative Director and leadership on new initiatives.
• Provide education and training to departmental staff as assigned.
• Assist with holiday, weekend or vacation coverage as needed.

Key Functions

• Compliance with the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the Menninger Clinic and its Corporate Compliance committee, the standards of the Joint Commission and other medical record and legal requirements.
• Perform psychiatric assessments for new patients admitted to the Menninger Clinic as directed by the supervising physician. Assist with the ongoing management of psychiatric conditions for patients in collaboration with other providers as indicated.
• Perform Medical History and Physical Examinations for patient services as requested.
• Collaborate with the Administrative Director and other members of the leadership team with developing, supporting and implementing new initiatives for the medical staff department.
• Assist with holiday, weekend or vacation coverage as assigned.
• Provide education and training to departmental staff as assigned.
• Maintain clinical competency and licensing by completing appropriate continuing education requirements.
