Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks a pediatric clinician (NP or PA) for outpatient care in Michigan. You will provide comprehensive care for patients from birth to 18 years, perform exams, order tests, and educate families. The role offers full-time hours with Tue–Thu 8a–6p, Fri 8a–5p, and weekend call rotation. New graduates are considered; licensure and DEA are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing (NP) or PA degree.
• Current state licensure and national certification.
• Current BLS provider certification.
• Current DEA registration.
• Pediatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care for patients from 0 to 18 years, including well-child and acute visits.
• Take comprehensive histories and perform thorough physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and treatment options.
• Coordinate care across settings with physicians, nurses and care teams.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and healthcare staff to ensure excellent patient care.

What You Will Do

• Provide comprehensive care for all ages of the pediatric population, from well-child visits to sick and injured visits, following AAP guidelines for necessary screenings and vaccinations.
• Dive into patient stories by taking comprehensive histories and performing thorough physical examinations to uncover what's really going on with your patients' health.
• Play detective by ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests that help you crack the case and inform your treatment plans.
• Build winning treatment programs by diagnosing conditions and creating personalized care plans that actually work for your patients.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat inpatient patients in collaboration with attending physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe and efficient care.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
• Coordinate care across settings to achieve optimal patient outcomes safely and efficiently.
• Be a team player by collaborating with physicians, nurses, and fellow healthcare heroes to ensure exceptional patient care.

• Outpatient Pediatrics, full-time
• Tuesday - Thursday 8a-6p
• Friday 8a-5p
• Weekend call based on provider rotation, no in person necessary, phone call only.
• Call afterhours is a rotation among all providers in clinic, call for 1 full week, no expectation to be on site, phone call only.
• Pediatric Population 0-18
• Patient volume 17-26, daily
• Open to reviewing new graduates
