Saint Alphonsus is seeking a certified advanced practice provider (PA-C or NP-C) in Boise, Idaho, to manage orthopedic trauma patients. This role entails working closely with the orthopedic trauma medical director and other team members to evaluate and manage patients both in the Emergency Room and inpatient settings.

Schedule: Full Time Rotation of responsibilities include clinic, operating room, inpatient rounding, and potential of APP call coverage as needed.
Call: Coverage of group call during the day shift to include rotating weekends.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 650+ provider multispecialty group practice that seeks a certified advanced practice provider (PA-C or NP-C) to manage orthopedic trauma patients in collaboration with the orthopedic trauma surgeon(s). The position includes direct clinical management through utilization of approved protocols and procedures as well as appropriate medical consultation. The APP will work closely with the Orthopedic Trauma Medical Director and other members of the trauma service to evaluate new trauma patients in the Emergency Room, to provide direction to hospital personnel regarding patient management issues, and to manage inpatient orthopedic fracture patients. This individual will also work in the operating room and outpatient clinic settings.
The qualified APP will show evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem-solving abilities, and commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. Candidates must hold a valid controlled substance registration with both the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and the DEA and should have past surgical and/or critical care experience in a hospital-based setting.
