Job summary

UW Health Beaver Dam is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care in a team-based, patient-centered setting in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

This 1.0 FTE role is Monday through Friday with 10 call days per month, and involves assisting with casting, x-ray, OR support, IP rounding and clinic follow ups, in a collaborative orthopedic service line dedicated to high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Eligible for Wisconsin RN and APRN licensure with board certification in area of practice.
• Eligible for Wisconsin PA licensure with board certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care through a team-based, patient-centered approach.
• Support general orthopedics and hand/upper extremity care, joint revision, and foot/ankle surgery.
• Assist with casting and x-ray.
• Assist in the OR, IP rounding and clinic follow ups.

• Assist with casting and x-ray
• Assist in the OR, along with IP rounding and clinic follow ups.

Education

Minimum -

• If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program
• If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program

Licenses and Certifications

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner

• Active RN and APRN license in State of Wisconsin AND
• Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Primary Care or other certifications with relevant previous inpatient experience.

If Physician Assistant

• Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND
• Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have

• Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
