Every Child Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Aurora clinic. The role focuses on comprehensive pediatric care, behavioral health counseling, and family-centered services for underserved communities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Valid Colorado PA or NP license.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
  • Ability to advocate for patients and communicate effectively with diverse families.
  • Ability to work occasional Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patients' health history from interviews and records.
  • Interpret health information and establish diagnoses.
  • Perform physical examinations and present findings to supervising physician.
  • Develop and review treatment plans; initiate life-saving actions when needed.
  • Order and administer medications and therapies as appropriate.
  • Consult with colleagues and specialists as needed.
  • Educate patients and families about illnesses, prevention, and treatment progress.
  • Coordinate hospital admissions and communicate with inpatient teams.
  • Review and triage hospital, pharmacy, and lab communications.

Every Child Pediatrics is currently seeking a full-time certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work in our Aurora clinic (1550 S Potomac St, Aurora, CO 80012) 4 days per week, Monday – Friday. We are looking for a motivated, organized health care practitioner with a passion for serving the underserved. Every Child Pediatrics is a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive, affordable health care to nearly 24,000 Colorado children per year, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. Our experienced professionals focus on the child’s overall well-being, providing high-quality medical care, behavioral health counseling, dental care, nutrition, healthy lifestyle programs, and connections to support services such as housing and transportation. We provide compassionate care because we believe that every child deserves the best health care and the opportunity to succeed.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Obtains patients’ health history from interviews with patients and others, and from review of pertinent health records.
  • Interprets health information and establishes diagnoses consistent with the accumulated data.
  • Performs physical examinations and presents patient history and physical examination information clearly and concisely to the supervising physician when appropriate.
  • Formulates and reviews treatment and therapy plans as needed. Recognizes situations which require immediate attention of a physician and initiates life-saving procedures when necessary.
  • Orders and administers appropriate medications; orders therapy services, radiology examinations, and nursing services when necessary.
  • Consults with colleagues, supervising physician(s), specialists, and other health professionals as appropriate.
  • Educates and informs patients and parents about illnesses, health promotion, disease prevention, and the progress of evaluation and treatment.
  • Initiates arrangements for hospital admission and completes appropriate communication to the inpatient team.
  • Reviews and processes incoming hospital, pharmacy, lab, and sub-specialist correspondence; returns phone calls in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Valid PA or NP Colorado license
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus

  • Ability to advocate for the rights of patients and effectively communicate with patients, families, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work occasional Saturday shifts
