Mass General Brigham's Cooley Dickinson Emergency Department in Northampton, MA seeks a Per Diem Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join the team. Per diem shifts cover a variety of 10-hour blocks, including weekends, with responsibilities across ED patient care.

The APP will work with board-certified ED physicians to provide high-quality, timely care, including medical screening, evaluation, and treatment across a wide range of acuity levels for patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Two years of Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience preferred.
• Active Physician Assistant licensure in good standing.
• Ability to work as part of a fast-paced ED team.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical screening examinations and initial assessments.
• Evaluate and treat emergency conditions and respond to changes in patient status.
• Document findings and plans of care timely and accurately; prescribe medications per policy.

Available shift options include:7:00 AM – 5:00 PM10:00 AM – 8:00 PM1:00 PM – 11:00 PM6:00 PM – 4:00 AMThe Cooley Dickinson Emergency Department cares for approximately 35,000 patients annually. Our team is committed to delivering responsive, compassionate, and high-quality emergency care to every patient, regardless of their ability to pay. APPs work collaboratively with our board-certified emergency medicine physicians to provide safe, timely, and evidence-based care for patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions.APPs manage patients across a broad spectrum of acuity, perform a variety of emergency procedures, and provide care to patients of all ages throughout the department.
