- Provide urgent care medicine in UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care centers
- Evaluate and treat a wide variety of patient concerns with clinical complexity
- Participate in shared clinical decision-making and problem-solving
- See patients at regular intervals using scheduling programs that promote wellness, efficiency, and safe care
- Collaborate with an on-site Radiologic Technologist and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader
- Share experience and training with clinicians and staff
- Work from an assigned primary anchor/home center and nearby secondary centers
- Work weekday shifts, weekend shifts, and limited on-call availability
- Perform minor procedures including sutures, casts, and splints
- Conduct preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
- Treat patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting
Requirements
- Experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- 1 year of full-time Emergency Medicine experience, or 2 years of Urgent Care experience required
- 2 years of Family Medicine experience will be considered
- Comfortable performing minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints
- Preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays required
- Experience treating patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting required
- Physician Assistants must have a Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification
- Nurse Practitioners must have a Master’s degree and ANCC or AANP Certification
- Weekend shifts and limited on-call availability required
