Job summary

John Muir Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide medical evaluation and treatment in collaboration with a Supervising Physician. The NP will document care, educate patients on health maintenance, and work with physicians and other APNs in various settings. Ultrasound, invasive procedures, or OR assistance are not part of this role.

Required MSN or DNP, CA RN license, NP license/certification, and DEA/BLS/ACLS or ATLS as applicable. Experience in a specialty is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP program (MSN or DNP) required.
• 2 years healthcare experience, specialty preferred.
• CA RN license required; NP license/certifications required; NP-F furnishing required; FNP certification or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluations and treatment under supervising physician.
• Document patient records and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Provide health maintenance counseling and disease prevention information.
• Collaborate with physicians and other APNs; adhere to standardized procedures.
• No invasive procedures performed or assisted.
