Boulder Care is looking for Ohio-based Nurse Practitioners who are aligned with Harm Reduction principles and have experience prescribing buprenorphine-based medications for opioid use disorder in an outpatient setting.

This is a fully remote, part-time, W2 position.

We Are Looking For Individuals Who

  • Reside in Ohio and have an active OH Nurse Practitioner license
  • Have at least 1 year of experience regularly prescribing buprenorphine-based medications in an independent, outpatient setting as a core part of your daily practice (not something done occasionally or only during training)

    • We are prioritizing candidates who can work shifts from 5pm to 9pm Eastern Time (Monday - Friday, no weekends) but we're open to discussing other options
If this sounds like you, please continue applying.

About The Role

  • This position is 100% remote.
  • The Nurse Practitioner works directly with patients to deliver medication-assisted recovery for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and empowers patients in their recovery journeys in coordination with the Care Team (primarily Care Advocates and Peer Recovery Specialists).
  • Our clinicians deliver compassionate and empathetic telephonic, text-based, and video-based (telehealth) patient engagement and monitoring.

  • Provide patient care coverage during scheduled shifts, including some nonstandard hours (evenings/weekends) based on team needs and candidate availability
  • Use technology effectively to facilitate a safe and rewarding patient experience
  • Interpret and share lab/clinical results with patients without judgment to help them meet their goals and stay safe
  • Enable care coordination, connecting patients to clinical and social resources inside and outside of Boulder

  • Deliver proactive, clear, and constructive feedback and collaborate with Boulder’s Technology and Operations teams to troubleshoot as we continuously build out our digital treatment platforms
  • Completes thorough chart notes within 24-hours of patient visit
