Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Palliative Care Consult Service at TUH Main Campus. You will treat and evaluate patients, administering advanced nursing care in a clinical specialty area, and collaborate with licensed physicians on diagnoses and therapies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Master's degree in nursing is required.
• 2 years of nurse practitioner experience preferred.
• 1 year in a clinical specialty practice preferred.
• 1 year outpatient/ambulatory experience preferred.
• PA NP license and PA RN license required; prescriptive authority preferred.
• Basic Life Support required; multi-state RN license preferred.

Job description

Works with the Palliative Care Consult Service at TUH Main Campus.

Treats and evaluates patients; administers advanced nursing care in a particular clinical specialty area. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including diagnosis, the prescription of medical therapeutics in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician. Contributes to a safe and therapeutic environment that is centered on the needs of the patients, caregivers and others demonstrating concern for the patient's privacy, comfort, and emotional state. Treats patient with consideration to age, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic background, and culture in a caring, ethical, and professional manner.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing Required
• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program Required

Experience

• 2 years experience as a nurse practitioner Preferred

1 Year Experience In a Clinical Specialty Practice Preferred

• 1 year outpatient/ambulatory experience Preferred

General Experience In An EPIC Environment Preferred

Licenses
