Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a certified advanced practice provider (APP) to join a busy surgical practice in Boise, Idaho. The APP will primarily work in outpatient settings while also participating in inpatient rounding and assisting in the operating room. This part-time role involves a rotational schedule with responsibilities in clinic, operating room, and group call coverage.

Successful candidates will have strong assessment and clinical skills, a PA Graduate Program degree, and relevant certifications. Trinity Health offers various benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Previous surgical and/or critical care experience in a hospital-based setting is required.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct clinical responsibilities in outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding.
• Support surgeons in the operating room as needed.
• Participate in a rotation of group call responsibilities including nights and weekend shifts.

Job description

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 650+ provider multispecialty group practice that seeks a certified advanced practice provider (APP) to join a busy surgical practice. This individual will work primarily in the outpatient clinic setting and will also participate in inpatient rounding and support surgeons in the operating room, as needed. The position requires direct clinical management through utilization of approved protocols and procedures as well as appropriate medical consultation. The APP will work closely with the physician team and other APPs to deliver excellence in quality care and patient experience.

The qualified APP will show evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem-solving abilities, and commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. Candidates must hold a valid controlled substance registration with both the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and the DEA and should have past surgical and/or critical care experience in a hospital-based setting. This is a part time role. The schedule is a rotation of responsibilities include clinic, operating room, inpatient rounding, and group call coverage.

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary trauma and critical care services. In addition, SARMC is an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center whose annual trauma volumes exceed 1,250 with over 400 patients with an ISS>16. Trauma is predominantly blunt in nature. The trauma surgeons participate in a primary and back-up call panel arrangement.

Requirements

Successful completion of a PA Graduate Program (Masters Level) NCCPA certified PA (PA-C); Certified Nurse Practitioner; current (or ability to obtain) medical license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA; preference given to those with current BCLS, ACLS, PALS and ATLS.

Call

Rotation of group call responsibilities, which include nights and weekend shifts. No ER call requirement
