This position operates within a collaborative model involving residents, fellows, attendings, staff clinicians, and outpatient clinic patients. The role reports to the Medical Director or approved staff physician and works with PCCs, staff nurses, and discharge coordinators to plan, implement, and evaluate medical and nursing care. Responsibilities include primary and urgent medical management, emergency stabilization, teaching residents and medical students, staff development, patient education, and discharge planning.
The role requires lifting 20–50 pounds occasionally or 10–25 pounds frequently, with moderate manual handling. The incumbent must stand for extended periods, stoop, bend, reach, and handle arm or leg controls. Physical demands exceed those of a sedentary typical work environment. Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and potential hazardous chemicals is possible. The position offers full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
