UAHSF is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for the Cardiovascular Surgery Unit in Birmingham, Alabama. This full-time role involves providing care for cardiac patients in an inpatient setting, working 14–16 shifts per month, primarily during night hours.
The APP will be responsible for formulating comprehensive care plans, documenting assessments, and collaborating with a Board-Certified Physician. Benefits include a possible annual stipend, a continuing medical education allowance, and full-time status with eligibility for additional benefits.
The following APPs may be considered for this role: Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Full‑time, benefited. 12hr shift: PM (6pm–6am). 14–16 shifts per month. Weekends and holidays required.
UAB Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Cardiovascular Surgery Unit team. The APP will be required to work 3–4 shifts per week for a total of 14–16 shifts per month from 6p‑6a. The APP will be responsible for seeing cardiovascular surgical, interventional cardiology, and structural interventional patients in an inpatient setting, including any new consults or overnight admissions. The APP should have the clinical knowledge necessary to perform history and physical, appropriate examinations/diagnoses for patients with cardiac issues. No operative responsibilities or operative duties are required.
To provide medical care and treatment within established scope of practice to surgical patients as assigned by and under the direction of the collaborating physician or under supervision of a Board‑Certified Physician.
