Job summary

Medi-Weightloss is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our physician-supervised weight loss clinic in the Des Moines metro. This full-time/part-time/PRN role focuses on patient transformation, clinical excellence, and durable outcomes.

You will conduct exams, review labs, provide counseling, and prescribe under collaborative agreements, while mentoring staff and shaping new programs. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and able to practice under collaborative agreements.
• DEA Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical exams following Medi-Weightloss protocols.
• Order, review, and interpret labs and diagnostic tests (including ECGs).
• Deliver program counseling, preventive health education, and supplement guidance.
• Prescribe medications in alignment with collaborative agreements.
• Document care accurately within EMR standards.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and manage outcomes.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care to ensure patient success.
• Provide ongoing mentorship and clinical oversight to medical staff.
• Participate in KPI reviews and quality assurance reporting.
• Lead or support clinical training for new team members.
• Contribute to the development and rollout of new programs, services, and protocols.
• Support efficiency and patient satisfaction initiatives across the clinic.
