Job summary

Western Sierra Medical Clinic in Downieville, CA, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide general and preventative care, perform check-ups, order labs, and prescribe medication for children and adults. The NP/PA will identify patient needs and develop treatment plans with consideration for family involvement.

The successful candidate will collaborate with health professionals, refer when needed, and educate patients on a variety of health topics to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Valid California license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Current BLS and ACLS provider cards; PALS per requirement by CMO.
• Proficient with Windows, Word and Excel; able to type ~40 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and preventative care for children and adults.
• Perform check-ups, treat illnesses, and order lab tests.
• Prescribe medications and determine treatment plans with referrals when needed.
• Educate patients and families on health topics and care plans.

Western Sierra Medical Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant for our Downieville location. The NP/PA will provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medication for children and adults. The successful candidate will identify the needs of the patient or their family through thorough evaluation and exceptional communication. They will work with the patient and their family to determine appropriate treatment plans and will refer to other health professionals and community agencies. The NP/PA will provide patient and family education on a variety of health topics.

The salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 annually.

QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Valid California license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
• Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• PALS provider card as required by CMO
• Computer literate (i.e. logging on to computer, usage of keyboard and mouse, familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel).
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm
