Duke University Hospital, Inpatient Medical Oncology Service
The Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider provides direct patient care on the inpatient medical oncology unit and works in collaboration with attending physicians and other medical professionals by collecting and documenting data, obtaining/ordering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, laboratory studies and professional consultations. The age-specific scope of practice is between 18 and older.
NP: Graduate of accredited MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner Program for adult care
PA: Graduate of ARC accredited Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree Physician Assistant Program
NP: Any NP certification that treats adults (FNP, ANP, AGNP, AGACNP, etc.)
PA: PA-C
NP: Unrestricted RN licensure issued by or recognized by the NCBON with authorization to practice as a NP
PA: Unrestricted medical license issued by NCMB with authorization to practice as PA
Both: Federal and State DEA independent license with unrestricted prescriptive authority
APP experience is preferred, ideally Oncology related, but recent or new APP grads graduating by August 2024 are welcome to apply.
Monday through Sunday including weekends and holidays, 12- hour day shift, 7A-7P. 13 shifts per 28 days.
