Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: At Mercy Care, healthcare is more than a profession - it is a calling. For more than 40 years, Mercy Care has cared for Atlantans who are not well served by the traditional healthcare system, including people without insurance, individuals experiencing homelessness, and families navigating life in a new country.
Today, we are building on that legacy through our three-year strategic plan, our Conspiracy of Compassion. Our goal is ambitious: to reach more people, remove barriers to care, and address the medical, social, and economic needs that shape health outcomes.
To make that vision a reality, we need talented and compassionate clinicians to join our team. Whether you are providing direct patient care, helping patients navigate complex challenges, or helping us build a healthcare system that better serves those too often left behind, your work will have a lasting impact on individuals, families, and communities.
If you believe healthcare should be compassionate, accessible, and transformative, consider a career with Mercy Care. Together, we can change lives - and help redefine what healthcare can be.
Mercy Care's Street Medicine Team brings healthcare directly to individuals experiencing homelessness and others who face significant barriers to accessing traditional healthcare services. Rather than waiting for patients to come to a clinic, our providers meet people where they are, including shelters, encampments, transitional housing sites, and community locations throughout metro Atlanta.
As a Street Medicine Nurse Practitioner, you will build trusting relationships with some of the community's most vulnerable populations while providing compassionate, trauma-informed care in nontraditional settings. This role combines clinical practice, outreach, advocacy, and care coordination to address immediate health concerns while helping patients navigate a path toward long‑term stability and ongoing healthcare services.
Our Commitment Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings. By finding common ground and embracing our differences, we grow stronger together and deliver more compassionate, person-centered care.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law.
