Job summary

IVX Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our infusion care team in Shawnee, KS. This part-time role offers Fridays with potential additional shifts across Kansas City-area centers.

Expect on-site and occasional chart-prep duties, patient assessments, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Active NP and RN licenses, AANP/ANCC board certification, and BLS are required; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• NP license and RN license (state as required)
• Board certification required (AANP or ANCC)
• BLS required; PALS preferred
• Experience in ambulatory infusion center or outpatient clinic is a plus
• Ability to treat adults and pediatrics; Family NP preferred
• Strong IV/infusion therapy skills
• Proficiency with EHR and HIPAA/regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and virtual supervision during infusions and injections
• Perform patient assessments and document SOAP notes
• Educate patients and families about treatment expectations and side effects
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and HIPAA compliance
• Support chart preparation and treatment planning to optimize visits
• Collaborate with referring providers and cross-functional teams
• Assist with inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence
• Demonstrate flexibility to work at multiple facilities in the market
• Take on additional duties to support patient care and organizational goals

Join IVX Health as a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner!

Schedule: Part-Time, up to 3 shifts per week

• Benefit Status: 20+ hours, full IVX benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), etc.)

This position offers a consistent Friday schedule at our Shawnee center, with additional shifts available throughout the week.

Fridays: Shawnee, approximately 7:30 AM-5:30/6:00 PM

Additional shifts: May include Saturday clinic coverage, Monday float coverage across our Kansas City-area centers, and/or a 5-6 hour chart preparation shift

Ideal availability: Fridays and Saturdays, with some flexibility for additional weekday coverage

Up to 3 shifts per week available with flexibility around the additional shift options

This is a great option for an NP looking for a consistent part-time schedule while maintaining some flexibility in their workweek.

What You Will Do

• Provide Direct Patient Care - Deliver on-site and virtual supervision while administering infusions and injections with precision.
• Conduct Patient Assessments - Perform evaluations, document SOAP notes, and monitor treatment responses.
• Educate and Support Patients - Guide patients and families through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management.
• Ensure Compliance and Quality - Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, review nursing documentation, and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards.
• Optimize Clinical Workflows - Assist with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams - Work closely with referring providers and cross-functional teams to enhance care coordination.
• Support Operations and Training - Assist in inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.

What We're Looking For

• Active and Unrestricted Licenses - Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license (if required by the state).
• Board Certification - AANP or ANCC certification required.
• Life Support Certifications - BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
• Clinical Experience - Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus.
• Ability to Treat a Diverse Patient Population - Must be able to care for both adults and pediatrics-Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
• Strong IV and Infusion Therapy Skills - Experience with specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols.
• Proficiency in Clinical Documentation - Experience with EHR systems and a strong understanding of HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional Communication & Collaboration - Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
