Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brookyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Gastroenterology & IBD service. You will manage, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for individuals with complex GI disorders, working closely with gastroenterologists and nursing staff to deliver evidence-based care and improve outcomes.

The role requires an NP with GI/IBD experience and an active NY RN license with ANCC certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• New York State RN license is required.
• ANCC Nurse Practitioner Certification is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Gastroenterology/IBD experience preferred.
• Outpatient practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate delivery of high-quality care for GI/IBD patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, nurses, and ancillary staff to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner for the Gastroenterology & Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Service is responsible for managing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care as part of the multidisciplinary IBD team. You will direct and coordinate the delivery of high-quality patient care for individuals with complex gastrointestinal disorders, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and related inflammatory bowel conditions. Working collaboratively with gastroenterologists, nurses, and ancillary staff, you will help provide comprehensive, evidence-based care focused on improving outcomes and quality of life for patients. Preferred Criteria

• Previous RN or NP experience in Gastroenterology and/or Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) preferred
• Experience managing patients with Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, biologic therapies, and complex GI conditions preferred
• Outpatient specialty practice experience preferred

Required Criteria

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
• New York State Registered Nurse License and Adult, Acute Care, or Family Nurse Practitioner License Board Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
