Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Allen Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Emergency Department on a per diem Day shift. The NP will independently assess patients, arrange multidisciplinary care, manage medications, and support rapid, high-quality care in a fast-paced ED environment.

Required: Masters in Nursing, NYS NP and RN licenses (or willingness to obtain), and BCLS. Preferred: 1+ year NP ED experience and national certification.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Nursing.
• Current NYS NP license (or willingness to obtain).
• Current NYS RN license (or willingness to obtain).
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication management in the ED.
• Perform initial patient assessments and intakes.

Preferred Criteria

• At least one year of NP experience in an Emergency Department
• Emergency room RN or NP experience
• National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of practice
