UCLA Health in Los Angeles seeks a Nurse Practitioner for the Spine Program in the DGSOM. The role involves travel between Santa Monica and Westwood facilities to provide and coordinate patient care, education, and safe continuity of care.

You will perform histories and exams, manage pre/postoperative care with attending physicians, liaise with patients and staff, review diagnostics, document services, and participate in rounds and referrals.

Qualificações

• CA RN and NP licenses required.
• MSN/DNP in NP specialty required.
• National Board NP Certification required.
• DEA furnishing number.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC required.
• Neurosurgery/spine clinical experience, including pediatric experience required.
• NP experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform and document comprehensive history and physical examinations on all pre-operative patients.
• Manage medical care of established/return/post op patients in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Act as liaison between patients, physicians and administrative staff; review diagnostics and formulate a care plan.
• Document services rendered and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.

We currently have an opportunity for an Nurse Practitioner in the DGSOM, Department of Neurosurgery's Spine Program. Will need to travel between Santa Monica, Westwood facilities. The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education,promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals:Perform and document comprehensive history and physical examinations on all pre-operative patients. Manage medical care of established/return/post op patients in collaboration with attending physicians with an independent outpatient clinic

Act as a liaison between patients and physicians as well as administrative staff and physicians in medically related situations. Review and interpret all diagnostic data and formulate a plan of care in collaboration with physicians and other members of the medical staff. Document services rendered.

Salary range:

NP2: $93.81- $133.97/hourly
