• Active Virginia NP license or eligibility.
• No neurology experience required; training provided.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform comprehensive neurological histories and physical exams.
• Evaluate symptoms related to migraines, seizures, neuropathies, and sleep disorders.
• Review diagnostic studies (EEG, EMG/NCS, imaging, sleep studies) and coordinate care.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans.
• Educate patients on conditions, lifestyle changes, and sleep hygiene.
• Coordinate referrals to subspecialists and document in the EMR.
• Provide patient-centered support and act as a consistent care contact.

What You'll Do

Patient Assessment & Evaluation

• Perform comprehensive neurological histories and physical/neurological exams
• Evaluate symptoms related to migraines, neuropathy, seizures, movement disorders, memory loss, and other neurological conditions
• Review and interpret diagnostic studies, including EEG, EMG/NCS, neuroimaging, and sleep studies
• Partner with physicians to reach accurate diagnoses and build effective treatment plans

Treatment Planning & Management

• Design individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
• Prescribe and manage medications and therapies, adjusting as clinically indicated
• Educate patients on their condition, lifestyle changes, and self-management strategies
• Guide patients on sleep hygiene and management of overlapping sleep-related conditions

Follow-Up & Ongoing Care

• Conduct follow-up visits to track progress and refine treatment plans
• Coordinate referrals to subspecialists (epilepsy, movement disorders, sleep medicine) as needed
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation in the EMR

Patient Advocacy & Support

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered support to patients and families
• Serve as a trusted, consistent point of contact throughout each patient's care journey

What You Bring

• Active or eligible Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
• Neurology or sleep medicine experience is a plus — not required; we invest in training the right candidate
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and a natural fit for collaborative, team-based care
