Provides total patient management for neonatal patients in collaboration with a physician by assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic health problems. Follows established neonatal standards, procedures, and protocols, and gives patient care directions to nursing and other staff. Adjusts nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Knowledge of coding and billing parameters that govern the provision of patient care by Nurse Practitioners in Tennessee and related to individual carriers. Ensures documentation is completed to institutional guidelines and maintains confidentiality of patient information and other UTMG business information by HIPAA and other compliance standards. Complies with the Code of Conduct and other established policies, including compliance, quality, and safety. Acts by UT Medical Groups’ mission at all times.
