Job summary

NPHire is seeking a Locum Tenens Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join a Level III NICU in Columbus, Ohio. This full-time assignment features rotating days and nights, 12-hour shifts, and an expected 36 hours per week, with start in October 2026.

You will provide high-quality neonatal care, assess and monitor newborns with complex medical needs, perform and assist with neonatal procedures, and collaborate with attending physicians, residents, nurses and the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in neonatology.
• Experience in a Level III NICU setting preferred.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Ohio or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• DEA certification required.
• Comfort with neonatal procedures such as intubation, umbilical line placement, thoracentesis, and lumbar punctures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality neonatal care in a busy Level III NICU.
• Assess, monitor, and manage newborns with complex medical needs.
• Perform and assist with neonatal procedures as clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Manage a patient load of approximately 12-15 patients per shift.
• Support a smooth workflow in a collaborative NICU environment.

Job Requirements
