Job summary

US Indian Health Service is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive patient care in support of American Indian and Alaska Native communities. You will assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor patients, integrating nutrition and growth guidance into plans.

The role requires NP licensure, completion of an accredited program, and close collaboration with physicians to manage complex cases and coordinate referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate or higher nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Active, unrestricted NP licensure in the United States.
• APN licensure in the required clinical specialty for the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care and guidance on nutrition, illnesses, growth, and child rearing.
• Develop health care needs and initiate treatment plans with physicians as needed.
• Prescribe and monitor medications/therapies and coordinate with higher level facilities when required.
