Midwest Express Clinic on Chicago's West Side is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to serve as a clinical leader, delivering evidence-based care and upholding MEC's standards for service, safety, and quality. You will collaborate with Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, leadership, and physicians to provide efficient, high-quality care.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and hospitality-minded patient care across clinic locations.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana.
• Ability to treat patients across the lifespan.
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing including lab and radiology results.
• Perform procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, nails, injections, DOT physicals, and occupational medicine services.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.

The Role

The Family Nurse Practitioner serves as a key clinical leader within the clinic, providing evidence-based care services while fostering an exceptional patient experience. This role partners closely with Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, leadership, and physicians to deliver efficient, high-quality care that aligns with MEC's standards for service, safety, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Clinical Excellence

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries

WhatWe’reLooking For

Required:

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana
• Ability to treat patients across the lifespan
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Occupational Medicine experience
• Experience performing common urgent care procedures
• DOT Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Scheduling Requirements:

• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Flexibility to support multiple clinic locations

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is$125,000-130,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
