Job summary

Columbia University Irving Medical Center's Department of Neurology seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join the Neuro-Oncology Division, delivering clinical care to adults with neuro-oncology conditions.

Under supervision of attending physicians, you will evaluate patients, coordinate chemotherapy, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care across outpatient and inpatient settings, with 35 hours/week and salary range $130,000–$160,000.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing and NP licensure in New York
• NP Board Certification
• BLS and DEA Certifications
• Eligible for NYP credentialing

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and perform examinations mainly in outpatient settings with some inpatient involvement
• Document encounters and manage charges for encounters and visits
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and workups; order/interpret tests; prescribe medications
• Oversee chemotherapy as an outpatient and during transitions between settings
• Coordinate multidisciplinary services and patient education
• Collaborate with residents, fellows, staff, social worker, and research team
• Occasional coverage for other divisions in Neurology as needed
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
