Job summary

Next Level Medical is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and episodic care, collaborating with the clinical team. The role emphasizes patient education, disease prevention, and adherence to prescribing regulations while maintaining efficient patient flow.

Ideal candidates will hold an NP license in Texas, DEA registration, BLS, and have experience in emergency or urgent care settings. Strong assessment and management skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Board certified as a nurse practitioner with current state licensure and
  • DEA license with no restrictions.
  • Skilled in traditional nursing disciplines of patient assessment and management.
  • Clinical experience in an emergency, urgent care or ambulatory clinic setting.
  • BLS certified

Responsibilities

  • Assure patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Follow protocols which provide medical authority when such are indicated in providing care.
  • Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent, emergent and non-urgent presentation.
  • Selects, orders, and perform tests and procedures to augment physical findings.
  • Define/document differential diagnoses and list differential diagnoses with most likely diagnoses included.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for plan of care, in collaboration with supervising physician as indicated.
  • Interpret data and diagnostic results for appropriate course of action including but not limited to laboratory, radiology, EKG, etc. in collaboration with supervising physician as indicated.
  • Prescribes dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
  • Maintains quality, safety, and infection control standards.

General Accountabilities

  • Exercises tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential patient issues and situations.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Learns computer software programs; enters and maintains accurate data and statistical information in order to consistently prepare clear and concise reports.
Job Qualifications
Nurse Practitioners:

  • Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English fluently, have cognitive skills for math, reading, filing and sterile technique skills.
  • Communication skills to deal well with employees, patients, families and Physician/Medical Providers.
  • Vision for near, mid-range, far and accommodation. Hearing for low, medium, and high pitch.
  • Job requires physical ability for long‑term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaching above head and below waist.
  • Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids (high), contact with chemicals, lifting of 30 - 40 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease.
