Allina Health is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical care as part of a physician/nurse team in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will perform assessments, diagnose illness, order and interpret diagnostics, prescribe treatment, and educate patients.

Based in Minneapolis, MN, this full-time daytime role (8-hour shifts, 32 hours per week) requires a Master’s degree in an accredited NP program, MN RN license, ANCC NP certification, ACLS/BLS, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active MN Registered Nurse license and ANCC Nurse Practitioner certification required on hire.
• ACLS/BLS Tier 2 – Multisource within 180 days; DEA required; valid driver's license on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care for patients as part of a physician/nurse team in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Orders, interprets, and communicates about diagnostics; prescribes medications and therapies; provides patient education.

Job Description

Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team in accordance with the designated specialty. Works in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.

Principle Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care for patients
  • Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
  • Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
  • Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
  • Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
  • Refers for specialty care when determined.
  • Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
• Participates in health care team
  • Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.
  • Acts as resource to members of the team.
  • Works with primary care team for program development.
  • Acts as liaison with outside agencies as needed.
  • Collaborates with hospital staff by consulting and rounding on patients if designated by the specialty.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licenses/Certifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty required upon hire
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
• ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days
• Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire
• Valid Driver's License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment for those working in Complex Care for Seniors, Community Palliative Care and Hospice

Pay Range

Pay Range: $132,226 to $152,568 per yearThe pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
