Job summary

Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy team as an APP Supervisor. The role is outpatient-focused (80% clinic, 20% administration) with no on-call obligations, and leadership responsibilities across the division.

The ideal candidate is board-certified, with prior stem cell transplant experience and a track record in education, research, and multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Board-certified APRN with hematology/oncology experience preferred.
• Prior leadership experience preferred or at least 5 years Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy experience.
• Outpatient only, 80% clinic and 20% admin.
• M-F | 4 10's | No Call.

Responsibilities

• Perform bone marrow biopsies/aspirations and lumbar punctures with intrathecal chemotherapy.
• Educate patients and families about chemotherapy and potential side effects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to manage high-acuity patients.
• Manage chemotherapy and cellular therapy side effects, including infectious disease considerations.
• Research and educational growth opportunities available.

The Section of Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center continues to grow. As part of this growth we are recruiting Nurse Practitioners to provide outpatient coverage at the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, AZ.

Excellent leadership opportunity for a dynamic Nurse Practitioner to join our SCT and Cellular Therapy Team. Qualified candidate is required to be board certified and is expected to provide compassionate, evidence-based and multidisciplinary care to cancer patients. Our Advanced Practice Provider is expected to be an active member of the Division and participate in clinical, research, and education services provided by Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC).

As a Stem Cell Transplant APP Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Performing bone marrow biopsies/aspirations, lumbar punctures with intrathecal chemotherapy administration, ommaya taps and skin punch biopsies

• Patient and family education regarding chemotherapy and side effects

• Managing high acuity patients with the help of multidisciplinary teams, including significant collaboration with supervising physicians

• Managing chemotherapy and cellular therapy side effects along with an additional focus on infectious disease

• Research and other educational growth opportunities are available if interested
