Job summary

Owensboro Health Medical Group in Owensboro, KY is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner to join the Hematology & Oncology team. Working with a physician, you will diagnose and treat acute or chronic conditions across adult populations and provide comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities include patient history, assessments, ordering and interpreting tests, preventive care, counseling, and coordinating care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire.
• RN license to practice in the State of Kentucky required upon hire and APRN license required.
• APRN national certifications required upon hire (AANP/AACCN/NCCCOGN/PNCB/ANCC/NCC)

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies.
• Provide preventive health assessments, screenings, immunizations as needed.
• Provide direct treatment and management via prescriptive authority or referral to other providers.
• Counsel patients and families on preventive health, treatment options, and community resources.
• Document assessment and care plans accurately and timely.
• Coordinate registration functions including collecting demographic/insurance information and co-pays.
